2014:

What's your story?

We’re 15!

We’re 15!

On Saturday 12th April 2014, Silver Bullet Marketing turns 15.

These days a small business reaching it’s 15th birthday is no mean feat. Especially considering the challenges we’ve all faced since the financial crisis hit in 2008, so we’ve decided it’s only right and proper to celebrate our big day with a few drinks, a couple of days away from the office (the fact that our birthday fell on the weekend helped enormously when clearing this with the boss) and a moment or two of quiet reflection on the peaks and troughs of the last 15 years spent providing a premium marketing product to businesses near and far.

Everything from the computers we work on to the clientele we represent has developed and expanded alongside the services we provide. This is thanks in no small part to the advent of digital media, which has revolutionised the way we communicate with each other, presenting us with a wealth of marketing opportunities and innovations to master and share.

Our home in Ouseburn has evolved significantly too, as the area we once shared with derelict warehouses and scrap yards has become the creative hub of the North East, a transition in which we’re proud to have had played our part.

As founders of the recently coined Ouseburn Creative Movement* we can honestly say that since we first opened our doors for business, the landscape of Newcastle’s marketing sector has been subject to dramatic change, both literally and figuratively.

No more are the days of a few big agencies monopolising the region. Over the years we’ve seen more and more agencies emerge with specialties and sector specific skills creating a competitive and exciting industry in which to work.

At Silver Bullet we began by specialising in the engineering and construction sectors and thanks to the skill of the team members who’ve joined over time, we’ve become an experienced and effective agency, which can adapt to multiple sectors while maintaining the highest levels of service. We’re now specialists in the planning, education, charity and leisure sectors.

MD John Dias said, “It's difficult to believe that 15 years have passed since we started in a rented loft above FPP's studio. Like every agency, or the few that tell the truth, we've had our share of ups and downs but the very fact that we're still here after enduring some truly harsh economic times shows we must be doing something right. Better times are coming for the region and I think Silver Bullet is in a prime position to make the very best of them.”

"The team we now have is the strongest we've ever had and it's a good place to be - creative and fun but also practical and professional. We're working on projects for a vast range of clients, ranging from international oil and drilling companies to local house builders. We work across consumer and B2B, private and public sectors and find the diversity of work is great for creativity. Some of our clients have been with us from Day One, some are more recent but they all receive the very highest level of service we can give them."

Our philosophy has always been to celebrate our client’s success; after all we’re only as successful as your campaigns. This past year we’ve been delighted to provide a range of marketing services from branding and graphic design, to online content strategy and PR to both new and existing clients. Take a look at our portfolio and you’ll find great examples of the products and services we provide – and if you check out the testimonials you’ll see we have some very happy customers too!
